This is to inform all candidates who are seeking for admission into Federal University of Technology Owerri – FUTO, Imo State that Post UTME / Direct Entry application form 2023 information for application is now available.

Read the information below on how to apply, cut off mark, deadline (closing date), eligibility and other details:

Application commences on August 1, 2024 and closes on August 31, 2024..

Requirements and Eligibility for Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO Post UTME / DE Screening form for 2024

Candidates who chose Federal University of Technology, Owerri as First Choice University in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) are hereby invited for Screening Exercise.

The following conditions apply:
UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in their UTME;
Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree and A’Level in relevant disciplines and subjects.
Those who did not choose FUTO as First Choice University but scored a minimum of 150 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution to FUTO as First Choice University.

How to Apply for Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO Post UTME / DE Screening Form for 2024

I. Mode of Payment and Registration Procedure:

Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00).

To register, follow the steps outlined below:

a) Visit the University website: www.futo.edu.ng

b) Click on “Prospective students”

c) Under “Undergraduate”, Click on the link; “2024/2025 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application”.

d) Click on “Apply Here”

e) Enter your JAMB Registration Number.

f) Generate and Print your invoice and proceed to any bank to pay using your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number on the invoice.

g) Alternatively, you can make payment using your ATM card.

h) After successful payment in the bank, return to the portal.

i) Repeat Steps (a) – (e)

j) Proceed with the completion of the form.

k) Correctly enter your O’Level results.

l) Confirm your entries.

m) Submit your application.

n) Print out your acknowledgement slip.

o) Await further communication from the University Candidates who successfully complete the above-stated registration process will be allowed access to a link through which they can upload their O’Level credentials for screening.

II. Nature of the Screening Exercise :-

The 2024/2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise shall be based on verified JAMB scores and WAEC/GCE/NECO uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

NOTE:

Your Department of choice should be guided by your JAMB Score.
Depending on your JAMB Score, you may have to visit JAMB CAPS to change your programme of choice and apply to same at the Post-UTME application portal.
Ensure that your details on JAMB CAPS match what you have on the Post-UTME application portal. For instance, ensure that you use your correct JAMB Registration number, date of birth, state of origin, etc. for application.
You must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address for further communications.
You must upload your O’Level results on JAMB PORTAL, NOT LATER THAN August, 31, 2024.
Those who fail to register within the period WILL NOT be qualified for the Exercise.
Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.

FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES: In addition to above;

1. Kindly ensure that your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri NOT LATER THAN August 31, 2024.

2. Any candidate who fails to submit his/her academic transcript would not be considered for Admission.
