A lot of students are willing to know how to combine institutions in JAMB registration. This post will explain everything you need to know on how to choose institutions for JAMB 2024 registration.
Everyone should have more than one-1 institution you wish to go for.
There are four (4) choices of institutions available for all candidates to select in JAMB registration.
Away from the wrong misconception that you can only select a University as 1st choice, a Polytechnic as 2nd choice, and a College of education as 3rd choice in JAMB Registration. Then the Innovative Enterprise Institutes (IEI) which is always the 4th choice.
The Fact is You Don’t Have To Select Only One University In JAMB Registration. There are Federal, State, and Private Institutions. Even if you wish to have A Polytechnic or College of Education as your First Choice. It is allowed.
Here are 10 different Institution combinations you can do on the JAMB 2024 Registration.
NOTE: 4th Choice is always Only innovative enterprise institutions (IEI), So I will not include it in the choices
OPTION 1 –
1st Choice – A Federal University
2nd Choice – A State or Private University
3rd Choice – Any Polytechnic
OPTION 2:-
1- A Federal University
2 – A Few of Federal Universities (Not All, Schools like OAU, UNILAG, UI, UNIBEN will not be listed)
3 – Any Polytechnic
OPTION 3:-
1 – A Federal University
2 – Any Polytechnic
3 – Any College of Education
OPTION 4:-
1 – A Federal University
2 – A Polytechnic
3 – A Polytechnic
OPTION 5:-
1 – Any State or Private University
2 – Any State or Private University
3 – A Polytechnic
OPTION 6:-
1 – Any State University
2 – Any State or Private University
3 – A Polytechnic
OPTION 7:-
1 – Any Polytechnic
2 – Any Polytechnic
3 – Any Polytechnic
OPTION 8:-
1 – Any Polytechnic
2 – Any Polytechnic
3 – Any College of Education
OPTION 9:-
1 – Any Polytechnic
2 – Any College of education
3 – Any College of Education
OPTION 10:-
1 – Any College of education

NOTE:- You can select any course/programme for any of the institutions of your choice. There is an opportunity to do Change of Institution and course after the JAMB result is out before you apply for the Post UTME Form. Meaning, you can later change to any institution you didn’t select at all during JAMB Registration.
Also, many of the Government Owned Institutions (Federal or State University, Poly, or College of Education) does not use to accept 2nd choice during Post UTME Registration, you must make it the first choice or else, you will not be given admission. You can later change to any of the institutions as your first choice before you apply for the Post UTME.
Do make sure you do due research to know whether any institution is Private, State or Federal. HELP YOURSELF TOO.
